As breeders we know how important a dog becomes to your family. We not only breed, but love our dogs. We are not a puppy mill! We are a family who has loved dachshunds for many years. A lot of consideration and learning went into our decision to become breeders. The learning process is neverending. Every time we meet someone new or make a visit to the Vet we learn something valuable. We strictly follow all AKC rules and regulations, and we stay updated on all policy changes.
Our dogs are kept happy and healthy, and are treated as family members. They travel with us, sleep with us and are given plenty of exercise and attention. We feed our dogs premium food, give each of them a daily Pet-Tab vitamin, and dams who are pregnant or nursing eat the right food and receive Pet-Cal calcium supplements. We never hesitate to take any of them to our Vet, to ensure they receive proper treatment if necessary. They have a large fenced and secured outside area that allows them plenty of room to run and play.
We use contracts for all sales and services. This is for your protection as well as ours. We do not ship our dogs.....anywhere. You may either travel to us, or we can make arrangements to meet you. We will travel with the dog for a fee, in lieu of shipping for a fee. Too many things can happen to an animal in the process of being shipped, and in our opinion is not worth the risk.
If you find that special puppy in one of our litters, we do offer an option to place a deposit to hold the puppy. The required minimum deposit is $100.00. The remaining balance must be paid in full before taking the puppy home. Again, we use a deposit contract that promises the puppy to you and outlines the details of the agreement. All puppies go home with their first vaccination and first deworming. We have a packet of information that goes home with every new puppy owner, which includes a catalog with a lot of helpful, necessary and fun items for your dog. Buying a puppy is exciting and can be a little overwhelming, so we like to help new owners as much as possible. We are always here for you.......before and after you take your puppy home. We keep meticulous records of all breedings, litters and sales. If we do not have what you are looking for we will take your information and contact you when and if we do, and/or try to help you find another breeder.
